Umm - thank you both.

I activated the code from dudephil, because it came in first. The code from Brookied hasn't been activated, and I think should be passed on to someone else.

But, thank you both so very much !

You're most welcome.

Maybe a PM to D&L will sort it?

I pm'd-emailed her and told her to use your code Brookied. Please have a great day.

Sorry about that Phil - I already activated the code you sent before I got your PM/email.

I need another rebel so I don't have to share with my wife...

(just kidding!!!)

I've asked family for a membership for my birthday in 3 weeks, so we'll see if they respond...
I'd love to join and could technically afford to, but I'm not working right now and don't feel right asking hubby to fork out even more than he already has on my hobby. Once I've learned enough here to bring in a little money with it, that'll be a different matter, right? So I hafta learn FAST!! :)
(And no, I'm not hinting for charity, I'm just taking this chance to explain that not every registered user is a troll ;) )

I'm sure dudephil's gift code can be passed on to someone else needing a membership, if kashi hasn't applied both to her account already? I don't think gift memberships are coded to a specific user...

BTW just to clarify, I'm NOT posting here to put myself forward for one. My membership expired this week and I actively chose not to renew as I don't think I'll get enough out of it at the moment.

I let my membership lapse because of funds, time, etc but received a Shutterstock check so I signed back up again :)

Not whining, just how it is right now.

Try stock photography. Part of my last check went for membership.

That's exactly where I am right now too. My husband works damn hard to provide a roof and food and necessities for our family, and I know it's tough on him. Asking him for $25 US for a hobby doesn't feel right.

Once I learn a bit more about what makes a good photo though, I will look into the stock photo idea. I've got to iron out some wrinkles in my technique first. That's why I'm here - so I can learn.

Again - thank you.

Wow, what an incredible community. I saw the title of this thread and thought, based on my tried and true internet forum instincts, that it would be whining and bickering, but was totally shocked when multiple people started offering to hand out memberships.

It only started as a light-hearted whine.

And, fwiw - I'm still looking forward to seeing the Deja Vu shots. Though I admit now, I'm feeling some pressure about getting a good one in there myself.
