Still working on that brown....I'm so ashamed.
I have a question...why do some people feel the need to give negative descriptive adjectives in their comments. This comment was helpful until the unnecessary comment.
challenge description included the phrase 'that you wear on your feet'....so I can be told that it sucks, tell me why it sucks...but (i.e. bad focus, seems like you focused on the ugly toe) sorry if my foot is not up to model standards
sorry done complaining...
I really did not think this was a 'great' photo but not a brown contender either.
oh well.... |

Never experienced this before, at some point today (early) actually saw a 5.000, now look, wahhhh. I think this challenge will go down in history as a "wish" for a brown ribbon to validate all the stress involved. |

I think so, especially for your first challenge. This is a very low scoring one, and a lot of ho-hum photos. I think the blue will go to someone in the upper 5's or low 6's

I am new, so I thought this was one of my better entries so far, but there aren't a lot of "standout" pics in this one...thought I'd do a little better...Do have 6 good comments tho

Once I saw that I had just had a "1" but when the voting was over there were no "1" in the scoring.
So as you say, probably a placeholder or somone who votes "1" for everybody and therefore is kicked out from the voting.
(I believe that is done)

If I REALLY cared, i'd say, "Please, let me know WHY my image is the worst thing that could have posssibly been entered into this challenge...it may help my in future challenges".
But I look at that score as just balancing out the 10 I got earlier.
Maybe it was a placeholder, and they'll get back to me later with their real score? :-)
Maybe they thought 1 was the Best, and 10 the Worst?
(Maybe they actually thought it was the worst thing that could have been entered for this Challenge)

Well, my entry received 15 votes from the last time I checked (last night).

My last 15 votes averaged: 5.07 - a trend that has/had steadily pulled my score down to it's current spot.
My projections, based on my last 15 votes average score (and based on a guestimate total votes of 285), I will sail in to the finish in the lower-middle of the pack with a 5.1355.
...this is actually higher than I predicted when I submitted, so I shouldn't be too bummed about it.
It seems as if my only hope for recognition is to make the "Gjumi selects the underrated: Footwear" thread!! :-)
[ASIDE] I don't know why I torture myself with running projections and UPDATING so often...especially for a picture that i KNEW was average. What is WRONG with me?!? :-) |

In some challenges, I look at all the entries but don't vote (it's a matter of time available to vote fairly). In all the challenges I do vote, I review my votes and move some pictures up - hence they get viewed again by me, even though I've already viewed and voted. And for a few pics, I just like going back to look at them again. There are several in Literary Adventures I viewed five or six times yesterday.

mattmac....have you gotten those 'extra 10's' to share my way yet??? Wow is mine doing BAD 3.4688 now! I think I am going to cry. My first entry ended at 4.232 and all my comments said it was 'boring'. So what does this say about this one!! I guess it down right put them to sleep!
I'm detecting a pattern here!
