| I think I am glad I decided to skip this one. With a quick look over the thumbnails I did not see any stand outs. Overall a very repetative and boring challenge. |

Why would you make a comment on a challenge that you did not take the time to even enter. And then be so negative about the pics that people did take the time to enter. Is this what being lucky enough to ribbon does to you. |

Holding my own. You know...I am new, don't feel rightly qualified to judge a lot yet. So, I do go thru challenges that i didn't enter and issue the 7, 8, 9 and 10's that "I" think are awsome and are deserving. The ones that don't appeal to me I don't vote on most of the time because I didn't enter myself. I felt better about my entry in this one above all of the others I have entered. I am here to learn!!! I had a critique from the "club" on a photo, and they said "you have jumped in with both feet" and I have. Don't care if I get 1's or 2's. It's the constructive criticism that makes me look harder, work harder, and want more for myself. There are trolls in here as such that "will" give you an ugle comment and a 1 or a 2, only to go to their profile and see NO photos what-so-ever. Maybe I would respect their opinion a little more if they showed me some "effort" on their part to understand what we do here. With that said...and I didn't mean to turn this into a rant, I will glad ly hit my UPDATE button and be proud of my accomplishments!!! KUDOS to those who worked hard to enter and GOOD LUCK!!

back to reality for me! This is a case where the shot I thought of was beyond my skill as a photographer to capture it perfectly. Don't get me wrong. I like the shot, but I know that many DPCers need a professional "look" to give high scores, and I couldn't pull it off. But I like that my "reach exceeds my grasp". It's a good way to learn. (and I got a nice comment!) |

Don...NOT beyond your skill, I just know it. Got 8's from me on your last two challenges. If we could crawl behind the eyes of all who view our photos we'd see a huge tapestry effect...keep pluggin! I think your stuff is great!!

I look at it that way. I'm trying to improve my skills and do my best, not be a professional lol. And there are a lot of pros in here and I know I am not at that level. I think a lot of people also have 700 dollar editing programs which help a lot also lol. |

Thank you so much! I love hearing that. I don't think a picture needs to be in perfect focus, or have such-and-such perfect lighting to be a good picture, but I still would like to learn as much as I can about these skills. If my picture's a little blurred, I want it to be a matter of choice, not just because I didn't realize what my shutter speed was! hahaha |

Hehehee I'm not very hard to catch these days. My Literary and Pick Two entries are scoring in the "uncomfortable to painfull" range. Glad to see this one in in the "feels good, but not nirvana" range. lol
