Ok, this is gonna be a hard one to write in English, but I'm too happy to NOT write this story to you guys.. ;-)
Last week I was searching for some gloves. Couldn't find them, by the way ;)
I bumped into a small new gallery. I knew their website, and decided to go take a peek inside and maybe try to ask them if there was a way to get my work over there.
After a walk around the gallery I decided to go for it. The owner wasn't very positive about it, she said there were too much amateurs she allready had to dissapoint. She didn't wnt to do that, and besides, the gallery was full for the next 2 years..
I didn't want to leave emptyhanded, so I told her about a mini-exhebition I paticipated in. She seemed a little interested and asked for my businesscard. Told me not to expect anything of her, and told me to come back after a year and a half, when I've finished my study.
A bit dissapointed I went home. I couldn't believe she didn't even give me a chance, and the fact she was judging me immediately...
20 minutes later she called me, to appoligise to me. She was quite amazed of my work, and asked me if I wanted to have an exhebition! Of course! It will be in April 2007, so it's a little bit far away, but I thought it was a chance I just couldn't refuse! There will be a grand opening if I want to, and the exhebition will stay in their gallery for one month... I was shaking and jumping around the livingroom after our nice conversation!
5 minutes later she called me again. The first thing I thought was: "She was kidding. It was just a joke"... but things just got better. She asked me if I wanted to have some work in a restaurant, probably in June or July... WOW! I have to make an appointment at the end of this month to choose some photo's of mine, and sign a contract..
Things are going really fast at the moment.. I wanted to share this with you guys. I think this might be a great start for me... :D |

That is just fantastic. Congrtulations!!! I got all excited myself just reading about it.
Made me look at you portfolio and I am not suprised. Yuo have some amazing shots!!!

I didn't show her any of my photo's, except I gave her my businesscard, with this photo at the front of the card: 
I think she got curious and checked my site. I don't know which pictures she saw.

@ Wonderbread: I really have no idea... ;) But I think I'm gonna keep focussed at my study and take lots of more photo's to use next year ;)
@ jhonan: lol, I'm not so sure if they'd like that while having dinner :P

these are the photos I'm planning to print for the exhebition in the restaurant, in the months may and june:

any thoughts?
edit to say: the "empty" series will hang next to eachother, the rest will be spreaded in two rooms.
