After many days of "up one minute" and "down the next" re looking at many differant cameras, visiting many stores, exploring & viewing many hours and hours on the net, plus phoneing camera reps, my solution was finally found, right at my doorstep, here in Caloundra.....

Our local "Kodak" manager, who I have got to know really well, suggested to come in to our local "Kodak" shop, to feel, see, use, and explore, what she thought might suit me re a camera.....

She knew me better than I know myself, as I didn't think I could use a digital without a large viewing screen, before actually taking the shot.

I was wrong, because as soon as she put the "Canon" EOS 350D, into my hands, I was hooked..... An hour later, I walked out of the store with my new toy.....I purchased the "Canon" EOS 350D, along with many extras including a zoom lense, the "Canon" EF90-300/4.5-5.

I am over the moon, as my dream has always been to own a "Canon", and now my dream has come true.....

My life is about to change, but give me just a little time to learn the techinical side of things re the camera, and then watch out fellow DPC members, as you have no idea what this means to me.....

The E-Volt's a VERY nice camera. You got nothing to be envious of, really, unless you want to frustrate yourself with pro-body envy, and that's a whole other class of spending. Olympus glass is VERY good glass.

Gee wizz Robert, you can make a girl have a real belly laugh, haven't done that for such a long time.....

I think I am now in good company with you, so if I have a problem, I might come calling to see if you have the answer. If not, you can just give me another "belly laugh", as that will make me feel good.....

Welcome to the White side. They say the grass is always greener on the other side, but really the lenses are white on teh Canon side.

Did you have fun with the shopping phase? I went thru that more with my studio lights than the camera, but it's a mental 'game' all unto itslef isn't it?

Thanks everyone.....You are all "TOPS" in my book.....

Remember all those members out there who own a "Canon" EOS 350D, or a "Canon" digital, I may be knocking on your door or email site, re questions or advice, re my new addition to my family.....

Hi everyone, yes I will upload some "images" taken with my new toy/baby, as soon as I understand the technical side of things a little better.

Playing around with it, just a little, but I always seem to take my time reading up on everthing first.....

I have this thought that I have to understand each and every button etc so that I feel comportable with my new camera.....

One thing I like to say, is I feel very humble to be in the presence of you all, so have patience with me, & hope I can do the camera justice.....

I also have a 350D and I love it. Previously I had a small 3,2MP Fujifilm. Great little camera (This was my first Digital).
Then I bought the Canon - It looks nice, it feels nice in your hands and it takes lovely photos - especially action photos (due to the fast processor)
