Is there a way to tell how many accounts come from a single ISP?
Things I find interesting about this:
1) Both husband and wife comment on each other's photos as though they don't know who took them.
2) Both husband and wife have a very similar (almost identical) style of commenting; including the tendency to place almost exclusively positive comments and to state that they voted either 8, 9 or 10.
3) That OP didn't take this to SC to begin with. And instead chose to call out a commentor by posting the shot and letting us go search for the comment.
I hope it's not a conspiracy, because I really like her work and I'd hate to think such a talented photographer would need to do such things for notoriety.

I agree that most of the posts are light hearted, poking fun at somebody else's expense type comments. Believe it or not though, I do think some folks are taking it a bit too seriously. That dead horse we call "conspiracy" has been beaten to death here lately.
I just feel for people who open themselves up to these things (she had a valid concern to begin with) without realizing the sharks that like to swim around here and feed off of them until they are nothing left but a pile of quivering bones.
Can't we all just get along??? Whatever happened to world peace? :)
And to add to my conclusion in my previous post, I think Mr Hyde is probably a pretty sweet guy all-in-all. I'm just sayin.... Again, just my 2 measley, little, tarnished pennies.

So then you wouldn't mind if I have a few of my friends sign up here? It shouldn't affect the vote that much...

Nope, not at all. :) The more the merrier..... they can give you a 10 all day. Doesn't matter much if they don't vote on anyone elses photos as well.
I say 10's for everyone!!!! Woo Hoo! :-)
(whew, it's a good thing I keep the rants turned off. Else I'd be getting myself in a whole ton of muck today. Maybe I should just go back and hide in my corner.)

AND I tried to step away from the computer only to find that the light bulb has now come on in the heads of other DPC'ers in how I saw the situation from my first post in this thread. I also notice that there has since been no counter response from Manic on this.
Too many variables, and to me, and I would assume easily to a few others, there is some game playing here that is not "community" and "learning" based, or whatever else someone wants to claim this site is here for.
Multiple accounts? Different user names from one IP? Made up scenarios on sisters and whoever is in the photo? Contridicting statements from the OP? And obviously this person has no hold over who is on her computer at any given time, and doesn't even know WHO and WHEN, otherwise I doubt the thread would have been started. And let's not forget those 10 votes (no matter how "possibly" uncommon that may be) that come from other parties on each other's behalf or from each other on each others behalf, and the countless "helpful" comments, which can be all coming from the same IP and from each other. "Hun, I gave you a 10", and "yes, I gave you one too honey". LMAO....How utterly sweet when the rest of us are climbing hillsides with the flu trying to get above a 6.0 average.
Personally? I don't think there should be more than one username from one IP. I think it opens the doors for too many "questions" and can put a question mark at the end of one of the most important words, "integrity". However, that is another thread and another subject which GOD forbid "I" start, so I won't bother. But it was nice to see that others are on the same page as me, and my head isn't burried in some fantasy novel afterall.

EDITED TO ADD: Some are making light of the situation. I don't see the humor. This site is called "Digital Photography Challenge". People pay $5 a month to $25 a year to enter "challenges" and some even to be part of the "community". I don't see much of a "challenge" to entries when they are possibly thwarted by scoring and by popularity or by who knows who or who lives with who and who shoots with who. This is the whole idea of "ANON". As for "community", I'm personally not much for the community aspect. I am here for the challenges. I may share my views, but that is about it. I won't be having DPC get togethers and such, but may gather a piece of info here or give one there. This to me isn't a main stay for why I am here. I am here for the challenges and the competition. It is pretty sad to know that many just sit around thinking a situation like this is humerous. NO we are not competing for a million dollars or anything tangible other than a graphic ribbon, however, integrity in entering and voting as well as winning should be the biggest reward and not one worthy of a box of popcorn.

I haven't seen anyone else but you on the "page" that says married couples shouldn't be allowed to use this site. |

My wife and I come in on the same ISP and IP. We accidentally post as each other sometimes, but we don't pull crap like this.
Just something to keep in mind before you decide to lock everyone down to one IP per account. |

Okay Rose but could you please be the one to tell my wife to delete her account, I am sure I wouldn't live very long if I told her too. |

Clearly we'd be walking into walls and drooling, while every Tom, Dick and Harry came into use our computer to give us 10's on photos of our semi-sister brothers dog.
