-voters vote too quickly and don't take the time to really study the image before voting
-too many entries per challenge to get any valuable feedback
-voters too concerned with absolute technical perfection to pay attention to creativity or emotion or....

too many entries in the challenge

it's common knowledge that DPC voters are narrow/shallow

One you'll never hear from anyone but me:
- I entered the challenge.

I'm trying to stay humble.
I blinked and it all moved.
I forgot to bring my camera.
and...
I don't know why voters hate polar bears in a blizzard! Why would they say it's overexposed?

I accidentaly left the camera set on Lanscape for the entire photo shoot. By the time I went to edit the photos the model had already left. Other tha it bieng badly OOF I thought the compostion and other sapect were stong enough to warrant a ribbon.

-High scores are the root of all evil.

-God help you all if I decide to really try !

-My yen for conformity ended with high school.

-My photo's not competitive because I forgot to apply the Testosterone Filter in PP.

-Bah, humbug. Who are you to score me?

-I spelled my title correctly and everyone's jealous.

-My shrink confirmed that I have fear of success.

-Well dang.... somebody's gotta to bring up the rear.

'Voters just don't understand'

3. I took the photo in "P" mode so it has to be correctly exposed.

2. why can't I use the challenge word in my title.

1. I knew I should of used my wegie board mouse pad to pick the best photo!

I don't use Photoshop - all my edits are with Corel PhotoPaint so they're legal

I took lots of photos, but my flash card wouldn't give up the photos after I soaked it in the developing fluid.

You mean an SX-70 snapshot doesn't count as a digital photo?

This shot of me and a piece of cheese isn't a 10?

It's not my fault Britney Spears drove off after she saw me with a camera!

What better way of proving she was unfaithful than by using the surveillance photo of her and her lover in a DPC?

You mean there are other photos of seascapes in the competition?

When you said "use your focus," thought you meant you wanted me to trade in my sportscar for a midsize Ford

In my world, "duotone" means a singing note held by two vocalists at the same time

I would have used a monopod to steady my shot, but somebody stole it, lit the top of it on fire and ran to Torino with it

my spouse said DNMC - but it thought i'd enter it anyway ..

I'm not from Iceland.
I don't have an ocean conveniently located nearby.
Durn day job keeps me away from countless awesome photo ops.
And though it's been mentioned before, I know it's not a very good picture but I'm addicted to the update button.

My photos are too transcendental. I don't expect anyone to get it.
