How do the read/write times compare though?
I use a SanDisk UltraII 512 and a regular SanDisk 512, and I almost hate to use the regular one as I have been spoiled by the almost instantaneous UltraII's performance in my 350, especially in reviewing (chimping) images.

Good Luck. I bought one of those because it was inexpensive. I hated it, the response time was slow. I tossed it in a drawer somewhere to use a b/u. Hope yours works out better for you.

High performance cards aren't really much of an issue unless you are firing a lot of burst sequences. Most newer cameras have a good enough buffer that you can shoot several images before you would find yourself waiting on the card.

I am getting a 30D and need a 1 or 2 Gb fast card for it as I have slow cards now - my rebel can't take advantage of the faster cards' speed.

The lexar's with teh rebate is what i want, but i waited now no one has them in stock.
