You're watching the Olympic skating, when your attention is drawn to all the huge lenses focused on the skater, rather than the skater herself. THEN you notice all the lenses drop as soon as the skater goes by and they all check their LCDs! It's really quite entertaining.... :-)

I'm trying to stop myself from doing just that - I mean, the focusing on the cameras and not the action. Just two months back during New Year, there were fireworks, very beautiful fireworks. I was too busy setting up the camera and stuff, adjusting this and that, you know, trying to get a photo, when my friend said "why aren't you enjoying the fireworks?" only then did I realize what I've been doing wrong! I should be enjoying the fireworks! So in the end, I got no photos but I dreamt of lovely fireworks that night :)
a still photo of fireworks (not mine)

I do that all the time... And I get yelled at all the time for commenting on the cameras... lol
But on the bright side, I find that I can bear to watch more sports now... If for nothing else than to drool over the lenses... lol |

In order to get any real work done, you're forced to block access to it and have your wife change the password to the firewall so you have to beg her to unblock it "just during rollover"
...then she finds out "rollover" doesn't occur every night as she had been led to believe and she no longer agrees to be the gatekeeper. :( |

Some day I will just have get a loan or see if I can put them on my tab at the local camera store..

Art, I got this firewall installed instead. Check it out.
It keeps me away from the computer and away from DPC especially on turn-over days! :p

| Haha, talk about timing! I am watching the medal presentation of the ladies free skate and was looking at the photographers behind with their huge lens. |

That's why never ask a hardcore photographer about the sports game he just went. LOL! |
