It's barely been 24 hours since the voting started. I would give it a bit of time my friend. You also have to remember that you entered an image ina field of well over 630+ entries. The last time we had something this large was the January Free Study. Comments normally come when you either have an impactful image or a really bad one. If you're hovering at an average score, comments are indeed hard to come by. However, I hope this doesn't deter you from continuing your commenting. If there's one thing I learned from this site is that I continue to learn through my commenting on people's photos. Let's all remember that one of the best things about DPC is that we are all here to learn from each other.
So don't fret. It's still early in the game ;)

First time posting here or on challenge. I went in and voted on about 300 so far, most I give 7 and above. Several 10's easy..I am astounded at scores on this forum. These are great shots. I look at mine and ..well am satisfied..It's not up to par compared to most.

I've finished voting for now (at least I have all pictures with a score).... that was a lot of pictures. I noticed a couple of pictures that look like two photographers went out together and took pictures of the same subject???

My shot has been getting beat down like it stole something. I started off last night at a 6.5 and have fallen all the way down to 5.6. I'll take it though :).

Yes, I did submit to this challenge after some break. I haven't submitted much this year. Much of my time was spent skiing on weekends and recuperating on the weekdays :D |

Don't recall saying I scored these shots low. In fact in a number of comments I made on pics I made it quite plain that I had scored the pic well because of it's technical merit etc, but questioned if the colour pic would have looked better. I was merely making the point that a lot of folks seemed to have converted any old shot to a duotone simply to enter the challenge (and with 600+ entries are you really going to tell me you think all 600 people went out and shot something with the express intention of a duotone conversion?). As I stated I GUESSED that things like sunsets might have looked better in colour. If the challenge had been 'sunsets' how many b/w entries do you thing there'd have been?

| I currenty have a 4.8 but I am actually quite happy because I already have 3 favorites. A low score with a bunch of favorites to me means that I did something unique that some people are truly appreciating as something different. I'll take that any day. |
