Hacking my lungs out last night, so I exiled myself to the basement couch so my wife could get some sleep. I didn't get up for work this morning & my wife phoned in for me while I was still asleep. Poor me.
Today's a no junior kindergarten class day. So we went skating to try to cool down my fever. (my younger daughter in these pics is 4 yrs)

I'm feeling your pain. Took the day off, too.
Your daughter is adorable with that curly hair hainging out from under her helmet and those pics are great. Love her laughing photo and the falling sequence is really cute, too.
Congrats on the wedding, too . . . looks like you married up. ;)
Hope ya get to feelin' better.

Thanks, I'm very lucky! Hard to believe it'll be our 15th anniversary on March 9th.
Get well soon!

I'd look out if I were you... you are attached and our vice president is the kind of guy who "accidentally" shoots his friend in the face. |

Nice pics.
You need to move to Alberta. It's a day off here. Apparently Ralph Klein's invention, Family Day. |

I was sick all weekend and wanted to call in sick today, but with the "holiday" nobody was in the office. Which meant there wasn't anyone for me to call. What sucks even worse is that even if I did call I start work two hours before anyone gets to the office which means I'm screwed either way. But I really wanted to call in sick today. Instead I worked 10 hours. Ugh.
Glad you were able to turn it into something fun (at least for the rest of the family). |

| Coughing and coughing with 102+ fever for the last few days, very rare (for my town) ice & snow on the ground, and I had to report for jury duty today. So I know how ya feel, get better. |

Slippy - Your boss called. He wants to see you in his office first thing in the morning.
I left you some highly constructive and critical comments.
Being my own boss has the downside of not being able to call in sick. I tried it twice and both times I didn't believe me. |

Of course I had to do a little showing off for my daughter. I managed to get some oohs & aahs without wiping out, luckily.

| Thats pretty good light for a Ice-Rink, you should try to shoot some hockey if people play there. |

All this down-time at home sounds like a really good excuse to lay on the couch and watch the Winter Olympics ... I just can't get enough of it.

All those shots were at ISO 800. It makes my new camera so worth it. My P&S could never have got these shots. :-D

I like the logos on the flyers jerseys. :-)
I admit, I used the method in this tutorial on most, or maybe even all of my shots. I have the steps from that tutorial set as actions in Photoshop. It's come in handy quite often, everyone should take a look at it.
-edit --- It makes a selection, so I wouldn't use it in basic challenges, though.

| Cute pics, thanks for sharing! Is it true that Canadians are born with ice skates already on their feet? ;-) My wife took our boy ice skating yesterday for his first time too, but I was working (doubletime for 12 hours to get a new toy). I wish I could've been there with them, but seeing your pics almost fills that void. Hope you're feeling better. |
