I got three cigars for my 18th birthday, 3 months away. These are good cigars - Hoyo de Monterrey Cubans - so I don't want to keep them in the box to dry and shrivel up. Is there a good, cheap way to build a humidor that I can legally do? The one that seemed feasable to me required buying a pack of cigarettes as a water regulator.

And btw, the head shaving succeeded admirably. I had to have a friend help me with the back of my head though...

Check out this link for free woodworking plans for humidors.
Hope this helps a bit.

Tupperware with a damp sponge. Cheap and works great. After you do this for a couple of weeks, send me one and I will tell you if you stored them correctly.

I ziplock bag with a small lettuce leaf in the bag with the cigar. Of course, you might want to change the lettuce leaf every few days or week.

Have fun.

Smoke the dam things before they go bad.

I went to a local tobacco shop, and the guy told me to do basically that, except use a moist paper towel.

Thanks guys, that was an awesome help! If cigars become something I enjoy, I'll consider building my own humidor.
