I got three cigars for my 18th birthday, 3 months away. These are good cigars - Hoyo de Monterrey Cubans - so I don't want to keep them in the box to dry and shrivel up. Is there a good, cheap way to build a humidor that I can legally do? The one that seemed feasable to me required buying a pack of cigarettes as a water regulator.
And btw, the head shaving succeeded admirably. I had to have a friend help me with the back of my head though... |

Check out this link for free woodworking plans for humidors.
Hope this helps a bit.

Tupperware with a damp sponge. Cheap and works great. After you do this for a couple of weeks, send me one and I will tell you if you stored them correctly.

I ziplock bag with a small lettuce leaf in the bag with the cigar. Of course, you might want to change the lettuce leaf every few days or week.
Have fun. |

I went to a local tobacco shop, and the guy told me to do basically that, except use a moist paper towel.
Thanks guys, that was an awesome help! If cigars become something I enjoy, I'll consider building my own humidor. |
