Anyone else have a really tough week?
Or great weekend plans?
I'm shooting this weekend. Weather dude says 75+ degrees so I'm out there baby!
But seriously, the work week has been hell so far - have a 2 hour conference call starting in 10 minutes, after that the weekend will be well within my reach. :) Yahoooooo! |

YES YES YES. I am so looking forward to this weekend after an extremely tough and stressful week. I just finsished breaking down our display at a Home Show at the convention center: a dozen trees, seven tons of rock that we built into a water fall and pond and aboiut 130 potted plants. Late nights at the show and the stress of disassembling all of this in a day has just about gotten me beat.
I'm trying to decide on where to go and what to do this weekend. We've got a gorgeous forecast here in Miami and the Coconut Grove Art Festival is this weekend (which might just keep me local?). This art show is one of, if not the largest in the country.
I considered going kayaking and camping, or driving up to St Augustine to look for land. Great photo ops in St Augustine and along the way. |

Friday, yes, glad it is. Weekend? Crappy weather for the whole thing predicted. Bah.
Seems to be a trend - nice during the week, icky on the weekends. What's up with that? |

Amen, sista. I'm sooooooo glad it is Friday! It's been a very long week with insane weather. It was 84F here yesterday and the high today is supposed to be 36F. Ice, sleet, and snow all weekend. Tomorrow and Sunday it might not get above freezing. Monday it's supposed to be in the 50s and sunny. ::rolls eyes::
I guess since I won't be shooting this weekend I'll be at home in my PJ's. I saw some neat plans on the internet last week, for one, so I'm thinking about building a backdrop holder out of PVC pipe. A trip to Home Depot is in order tonight.
I do have one thing to celebrate this week...I went to my first follow-up weigh-in at the doctor's yesterday afternoon and in the past three weeks, I've lost 16 pounds. I nearly fell off the scale. I teared up, the nurse teared up...it was a goofy, emotional scene. My first goal of 50 pounds by May 31 is getting closer and closer!!! :)

anyways looking forward to the london GTG 2moro should be a good weekend

The week just got a whole lot better (not to mention next week) - I just realised that Monday is a holiday in this company. Damn - I need to get these on my schedule....
I understand; I have had one of those weeks for the last year or so :-( |

Joining right in! Last night was horrible. I work in travel and with the bad weather in the midwest I had people stranded everywhere last night trying to get home. I had to have one guy drive 150miles to an alternate airport to get a flight this morning because his flight last night got cancelled.
At least our weather is supposed to be nice this weekend. We have the Florida State Fair in Tampa that ends this weekend so might head up there and see what kind of shots I can get - and some great fair food!!
Next weekend is Disney Animal Kingdom and Repticon (huge reptile show and sale in Orlando).

We're going kayaking today and then I'm doing some research at the Vero gem show tomorrow.
We moved here from SA. Love that town! Interestingly, land here in Sebastian and Micco is the same or cheaper. SA has been discovered and has virtually merged with Jacksonville. |

I just confirmed that I'm going to SA tomorrow morning, so the kayaking trip won't happen. The land I'm interested in is actually just west of SA, across the St. John's River near Palatka. You could almost call it swamp land because it's so wet, but it's perfect for a tree farm. It's not crowded there yet (I don't think) and I hear that the prices haven't gone through the roof yet. |

Yep, you're right, on both counts. If you get in soon, you can get a deal there. We almost bought a 5 acre plot, but it was 2/3 swamp. My mother-in-law is a realtor in OP, and sells quite a bit of property in that area. PM me if you need any help. |

OMG you ppl are nearly in my back yard! :D I live just south of OP before you get to St. Augustine. Who's shooting where this weekend? I'm heading to Ocala I think. |

I'll be driving up I95 from Miami to St. Augustine area starting at 5:30 and, of course, I'll have my camera with me. However, my business partner is coming along and he is not into photography. Many times I just take off by myself and make my schedule as I go, but this weekend it seems it'll be mostly business. |
