I know of A LOT of dpc members that have blogs on various sites. They use these as a PAD and to kind of share their thoughts and feelings about what they're shooting and their life in general. I think DPC should implement this as well for paying members. They could use images from their own portfolio, and then update daily with their own little triumphs and failures.
What do y'all think?

danny...you read my mind as well as a lot of others i think. To have that info right at hand in the same site, blended with challenge info and feedback would be great!! |

Very interesting idea!
However, one of the reasons why I'm using Blogger is because they announced a 250Mb (I think) limit on images. I checked just now, and it's actually unlimited.
25Mb is very limiting for a blog, especially if clearing my portfolio will delete images from the archives.
That raises another point, which is what would happen to the blog if membership expired?
Great idea, but *very* expensive to implement.

All excellent points.
What happens if you post an image to your blog, and then later decide to enter it into a challenge? Might require a "hidden during voting" feature in the post process. |

Yeah, and RSS feeds off the blogs would generate some good traffic for DPC.
