Jennifer, did you ever post the outtakes of that shot as you mentioned in your image notes? You can post them here in "The Underground" where they will likely get -10's from the folks here.

-10 (minus ten) being the highest on the Underground scale

Some of my favorites that I never expected to do well. (edited to add a couple of more photos)

For real high scores, don't forget to PP with the Nuclear Vaseline filter.

I still stink too much for you to be able to discern whether I'm doing certain things on purpose... but that will change. Someday, my challenge entries will absolutely reek of deliberateness.

All the images that I have entered in 2006 have come from doing what I like to do, walking around lakes and tracks taking pictures of wildlife or whatever.

Just so happens I shoehorn them into challenges.

Heh, no, I never put them up. There wasnt enough interest to take up the space in my portfolio, LOL. Lemme see if I can dig them up out of the archives...

My stuff sux so bad lately that either I'm VERY underground or just a terrible photog.

Or maybe I'm just in a terribly creative slump. I'm shooting a lot, though!

NO WAY!!!! .... :) ....
I am very analytical and my initial thoughts with DPC was the exact opposite of this. For a moment I thought that I should start looking for subjects that scored high ... I looked at many of the winning images and noticed that there were certain elements that seemed to get good scores (trains, wind-mills and wrinkly people for example). Well, I never did take a picture of a train, windmill, or a wrinkly person - Anyway, it's good to hear that people are doing what i always thought they were doing!
----oops ... forgot to add my example of a low-scoring image for which i have personal feelings:

I'm still too far down to be in the underground yet, but I'm working my way up.

Woo, Can I join?

My best of 2005 was chosen over my dragonfly pic because I felt too many people knew it and some had even given suggestions on how to modify/improve it. I feel quite confident that it would have done better though.

My was an attempt at genuine creativity, but I seem to be a bit shy on that lately.

I've not had the time to really work up the next shots I've got coming.

EDIT!!!!
Oh dear. I appear to have transposed the 3 and the 7 in the image ID.

FWIW, the burnt toast was one of my favorite pics from that challenge, sadly, it was NOT one of my own.

SORRY!

Most people never appreciate the artistic & creative aspects of burnt toast. You're in. Just don't get crumbs on the furniture.

Pretty far down myself but guess I'm already in. Here are some challenge entries and others I personally liked but were not well-received. Of course, it can also mean I'm a lost cause! LoL
