I noticed last time i used my XT there seems to be a piece of dust, but i dont know where... i cleaned the lens and the eye piece but its still there, however the good news is that it's not showing up in my shots but its just annoying, anyone know where i should be looking?

You may be able to get rid of it by using a blower to clean inside the body of your XT. Just remove the cap covering the opening where lenses go, hold the camera so the opening is facing down, and gently blow into the opening. Good luck.

I have the same thing on my Rebel. It's not on the mirror itself. It is on the portion of the viewfinder inside the camera, above the mirror. I'm going to have my brother in law clean my sensor soon. I'll have him clean that, too. I'm kinda clumsy and ham-handed, and would probably do more damage than good.

Yeah, it could be on the mirror.
BTW, there was a thread I saw recently about cleaning the sensor that linked to the Copperhill method, which also mentioned that blowing dust off isn't the best since it'll probably just swirl around and get re-deposited. Better to wipe carefully and gently. Ah, here it is--active right now, in fact.

most likely viewfinder, mirror, or the focusing screen.
If you can't blow it off and it's not showing up on the picture, you can either try to go crazy taking it out or just live with it.

I had some like that on mine.. blew it out with a little bulb air duster and it came out. |

'Urro.
If it's in focus, it's more than likely on the focussing screen, if it's blurry it's on the mirror....
I've got any annoying one in my 10D, but it's on the 'top' side of the focussing screen so i'm living with it until it gets annoying enough to remove the focusing screen to get rid of it! :-).
Cheers, Me.
