Took some goat pictures for a friend of mine today. It is not everyday that you get asked to take goat portraits. Only in the south I guess. How did I do? These are a few of my favorites. (comment for comment)

I like this one best...
The "backgrounds' don't lend themselves to normal portraiture, I understand, but getting the goats isolated from the "barn" a little would probably add some punch - at least for me :) It's a tough shoot, I know, and you did a nice job.

I liked the closeup of the goat (left a comment). I also enjoyed the whimsy of the goats in the metal tubs. :)

I like the one looking thru the fence. Here is one of mine taken at the stock show.

When I was in art school, I got the job of photographing all the instructors for a department newsletter. One of the Graphic Design teachers asked to be photographed with her pet pygmy goat. Who am I to say no to something like that. Got some great shots. I also got yelled at by the guy running the department studio, some rule about no livestock in the building. It's not like I staged a cattle drive down the main corridor or anything. Sheesh.

Allegations were made, but nothing was ever proven...

Here's one I took in India a few weeks ago. He was around my feet until I took his pic. I do not think he liked the flash.

I had to turn off the flash. They kept running away from me. |
