i was wondering how this would've done in the challange: Pencil Outtake take a look at my other pics as well P.S.:if it looks a bit fuzzy and pixelated, its just a roughly edited, first shot picture |

What is the reason for the blue ends? Looks a bit out of place and the shot is rather grainy.
But..
The composition is good. |

To be honest, I believe the color has been terribly played with. The idea is cute, but seems to be fairly common in the challenge, so creativity and unique-ness is low. Lighting isn't that great. However, if all that is set aside, the angle is good, and the idea it's self is good. I'd probably only give it a 3 or 4 though if submitted like this cause of the aweful edit to the color. (sorry) |

Hidden is my favourite out of the 4 you have on pbase. Certainly it is the one that shows the most creativity or thought. The colours work well for me, making it more stylised and interesting than just a straight 'here are some pencils and a crayon' type shot. It has a good jumbled, yet structured feel to it, with the various ends at different lengths/ layers.
Might be more dynamic if you shot it rotated slightly, so that the pencils were more slanted, than vertical, just would add some more movement. Also I'd try to move the green crayon so that it was for example over in the lower left, rather than right in the center.
Perhaps less of a close up, with even more pencil ends would be effective ?
Just some ideas - like it.
