LOL... I won't say which challenge it's in, but this is a first for me. Not sure whether or should be flattered or not. Funny how it gives you major butterflies in your stomach though - I couldn't believe how nervous it made me (and I don't think I have anything to worry about, I just submitted my proof & editing steps).
Time will tell... Anyway, just had to share! |

I've been "recommeded" before and take that as a source of pride. After looking at who has actually been disqualified I'd consider it an honor to be among many of them.

Hey Jimmy ;) Take it as a compliment :) I've been requested a few times because either:
a) they can't believe it was done "legally"
b) it's too good to be true ;)
c) you're just good man! and you are ;)
You should be just fine ;) Notch one of these down as an achievement of some sort ;)

I got a DQ request on one of my entries this week also...it got validated tonight which is a relief.
I like it....someone thinks that I did something outside of the rules, just goes to show how mad my editing skills really are.... ;)

The only in-voting-phase validation request I've ever received was for this ill-fated entry in "70's", a basic editing challenge :-) No surprise there, LOL. But it was perfectly kosher, the ONLY adjustments to the image were levels and curves. Granted, I did a little "curve-reversing" (jejejeâ¢) but the tool's legit.
I guess in the main my stuff is too dull to generate such requests. I've got to get crazier, I think.

Don't think of it as a DQ request - think of it as a validation request.
And, yes, I had one for my nico_blue shot in the username challenge, but it was no sweat for me as I knew I hadn't broken any of the rules. |

SJ, think of it as a rite of passage here at dpc. I've had a few, the butterflies are worst the first time. But no big deal when you have followed the rules, as I'm sure you have. Just some tense moments waiting is all.

boy that does make your heart skip a beat or two! Many challenges before, I had one of my images disqualified for the date being off. So..............now after letting my son use my camera I thought hmmmmmm better check the date again before taking pix for the shadow II challenge..WHEW good thing too because the date was off again!!!!! fixed it..went out and did some quick shooting and now hopefully I might have a top 5 or maybe top 3 image????
also, I was sent that little "we need to verify your EXIF image blah blah blah yesterday...and all is well in Glocamora :))) |

Thanks guys & gals! LOL I think I'm cool with it. We'll soon see. And I guess I do consider it a rite of passage - I've graduated beyond freshman status. :-D
