My first DPC-GTG photoshoot (albeit with only one other member). Tagged along with Frank (caba) to the Olympic Wild Game Farm and took a couple hundred shots of various "wild" animals. The bears were particularly interesting as they sat behind a 3ft high electric fence and would bare their teeth and wave their paws if you threw them some bread or marshmallows. They all had very rotten teeth and it was hard to conceal the fence or other giveaway surroundings in the photos, so it was hard to pick one to enter. As it turns out, Frank's entry and my entry were very similar and rightly placed pretty close together in the results.

Maybe Frank shoulda entered his Buffalo Eye pic or his Peacock pic...


Since I wanted to fix the horrible teeth on most of the scary looking bear shots, they would not have survived a DQ request, but I had fun editing these anyway. Comment on any of my favorites below if you feel so inclined and I will try to return the gesture. The whole collection is here...




CONGRATS to the winners in the challenge - I was very impressed with the majority of images.

No entry in FS. The majority of my edits are slightly too "advanced" to qualify. :)

cool shots - I love bears. Just hate seeing them confined like that. Me and zoos don't do real well for that reason....I leave feeling depressed for the animals not running free.
