You beat me Ken, but just "bearly", nice score for a fun time.

Bears should be hybernating right now yes?

If this was truly taken in the wild then you deserve bonus points for bravery - it's a great action shot and still well composed.

For your sake, I hope this was taken at a zoo! Good shot.

If this was in a 'natural environment' you're a braver person than I! Lovely shot with great focus and framing.

Eep. How close were you? Did you have to wake him up to get this shot? ;)

He looks like he's going for your shooting partner instead of you. Great job Ken!

Good image. But there seems to be something lacking about it - i guess that special something... perhaps if the bear had been looking exactly at you.. am just saying this off the top of my head... Good focus.

Given the spirit of the challenge was to capture a shot of wildlife in its natural environment, I find it most difficult to believe that this was done with your entry. Needless to say my vote on this was very low given those circumstances. When a photo does not do its best in composition to depict actual challenge guidelines, my stadegy for voting immediately stops and it becomes a DNMC to me. When huge known to attack man animals are hunted down, I don't believe they will be for the purposes of a graphic ribbon.

Arn't they supposed to be asleep this time of year in the wild?

I hope you were using a long lens on this one. What are those lines in the upper right?
