Not that I'm overly concerned, since I don't win ribbons but is it possible to add the proof submission capabilities prior to the voting stage of the challenge? I would like to submit them when I submit photos because I travel for work Monday through Friday and only have access to my home PC on weekends which makes it hard to meet the 48 hour proof submission deadline.

Nick, since you're a member, you could load the original up to your Portfolio's Workshop and then send a note via the Help->Contact to SC giving them the [Thumb]image no[/thumb] so they can check it if they have to.

You'd have to be sure of deleting it afterwards, you'd bust your 25mb limit in two challenges :)

In the Help/About page send a general inquiry to the SC and attach the original -- or if you feel bandwidth is a concern and have someplace to put it, put it online and add a link in the message.

Be sure to include editing steps and why you are submitting it is requested.

That wouldn't work for RAW anyway, would it?

One or two of us do. It's a known fact. I suspect many more do it but keep their obsession hidden. "Shooting in the RAW" sounds so tacky...

Who has a dslr and shoots jpeg's ?

I'd suspect that the majority shoot RAW for shots that are important. ie. DPC entries ;)

The worst part is getting yourself tangled up when huriedly extenting your mono pod.

If you carry a laptop with you on travel, just take your original along, and submit it if you need to. Alternatively, upload the proof file to a web server somewhere (your ISP usually gives you some space for free by default). If it's needed, grab it from there and upload it.
the first option is what I do when I'm going on travel.
As previously posted, you can also open a ticket and attach the proof file. Because manual intervention is required by one of us to get the proof submitted when you use the ticket method, we'd prefer if you didn't have to use this option every week, since if many folks did this it could quickly become overwhelming.

Until this weekend, I had an old bag for my monopod.
