Don't know the shop and am staggered by the quoted price. But inclined to think that if it sounds too good to be true, then it very likely IS too good to be true.
The battery and other accessories prices seem way out... |

Looks good but there must be some kind of a catch. Same question, anyone else heard of these guys or bought from them?

Read the fine print: "You must have an IQ below lichen to believe you'll actually get the camera at this price..."
It's a scam/fraud. |

Just check ResellerRatings when in doubt. They could'nt have a lower rating!

The last 97 people to review the site seem to agree its a dodgy deal, definitely one to avoid.

A friend of mine just went through the scam process with this company on a rebel xt. You will not be able to buy the camera from them at this price.

Reading resllerratings, one has to wonder how they get away with this. I hope more people file complaints about these practices. Our atty general, Elliot Spitzer, is a good consumer advocate and I think they would do something. It probably also doesn't hurt he's going to be running for governor!
All they would have to do is a little "sting", call and order, and let them give Elliot the bait and load accessories scam, along with the threats (did you see one salesman threatened to "blacklist" one of the buyers?)

This is not an advertisement for Beach just a comment I found about USA PhotoNation:

After being scammed by USAPhotoNation.com, I was skeptical of anything not Amazon.com or Newegg.com related.
However, the Kodak V550 camera I was looking at cost $70 more at these sites than BeachCamera.com. I have been so impressed with BeachCamera.com that I have made it a favorite in my list.
Pros:
+ Excellent price.
+ Free Shipping - and it only took 5 days to receive!
+ Great website.
+ No Upsales - Unlike the New York phone companies (read: USA Photo Nation), there was no mandatory phone call where they try to upsell.
Cons:
- The only problem I have, the price on my camera dropped by $5 three days after I ordered.
For anyone who has their concerns, I understand. Don't worry about this store though - they are great! I would compare them to a young amazon.com with great prices and a solid business practice.
