 It's a bit different than that Tim. If you use a normal flash gun hand-held, you're going to get serious shadows. Even with reflectors all over the place, the camera lens is so close to the subject that you can't get light onto it.
 
 The ring-flash is the best way but they're expensive. Even a light tent doesn't work that well as again the lens just gets in the way and casts shadows

 Sure, Brett, it's not the easiest way. Then again, us cheapos are usually the most creative. A bit of white construction paper goes a long way!
