I'm getting a D200 in the mail today or tomorrow.
I also need some more memory: 2GB.
Is it worth investing in an Extreme III, or will the Ultra II be just fine?

Whoa... Depends on if you want to spend the extra 50% markup for the extra speed. I don't know if the improved speed is worth that kind of premium.

You're very unlikely to see any real performance difference in-camera. With a very fast card reader, there may be some difference in card-to-computer transfers. See Rob Galbraith's CF card performance database here:
//www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007
Although the D200 is not listed yet, this should give you a good idea of what the performance differences are between some of the top cards.

Depends on the camera. I see significant differences on a 1DII, but if your camera can't drive it any faster, then it isn't really worth the extra money (unless your computer download time is at a premium too) |

hi,
if using CF card in exteme weather conditions such as very high or low temperatures i suggest buying extreme III, ultra II is a great card but not for extreme temperature differences
