Milton
Milton H Greene, He did a lot of my favorite pictures of Marilyn Monroe.
Bunny Yeager
She was a pinup model who went to the other side of the camera. SHe did some great shots of Bettie Page and other really good models.
Tom Kelley
Marilyn on Red Velvet
He made the most famous picture of Marilyn, a nude on red velvet, that became a playboy centerfold, and shot Marilyn to fame.
See a theme yet.....I LOVE pinup girl art......

I made an attempt at something for the Tribute challenge, and while I've yet to decide whether or not I'll enter it, I do want to say that this has been a *very* worthwhile challenge. I've had the chance to see work of people I didn't know (or didn't know I knew) and learned some lessons in trying to emulate at least one of them. To whoever came up with this one - great idea! |

i have tried to work on Henri Cartier-Bresson, its difficult to emulate someone so great, i hope i was even able to produce 2 percent of him in the photograph. Lets see.

"Vernacular" photos are in vogue now in certain circles. That's another way of saying old snapshots. How about Anonymous as a photographer?

That list is never complete without Mili.
Two more from recent times: Haksar and Nachtwey .
Three, but very very different names I've put here - my mind is stretched to infinity and that's scary!

You could always dress up your dog. William Wegman would get votor recognition. Can't find a good link, his site seems to be down. |
