These are pictures of the American Legion that was destroyed by fire in Vinton,Ia.

Cool shots! Was the building originally a library? It looks like a Carnegie...

I don't know the history of the building just that it was built in 1916. The Legion used it for years for receptions and various events, a grease fire from a fish fry got out of control faster.

That is a beautiful looking facade. I hope someone rebuilds it.
