I would like to know a more specific definition. It has to be a road as in street, highway, aley etc. or I can think of something in a figurative way. I only ask because I don't want to go "out of the box" and get low votes for it.

Thanks.

There IS no specific definition for it...shoot what YOU want to show as your interpretation of "Road." :)

you should want to go out of the box.

this is the perfect kind of challenge for it.

I agree and disagree with you :-). My idea for this challenge is more related to a "road" in life than the actual road meaning. And I think that most of the people will stick to the literal meaning of the word when they will vote :-( IMHO.

Then if you interpret 'ROAD' that way then thats fine. Just go out and produce a killer photo. If the image is good enough we will vote you a blue ;-)

I think you can go out of the box, if you wish to. For instance, a photo of the American Flag, hence "Road to Freedom", etc. However, I think those that don't do the best depiction of their out of the box idea will take hits in the voting area. It is safer to take a really cool shot of an actual road to me, BUT that is just me. If I come across a great photo opportunity that is more out of the box, I may be inclinded. But to take a really cool picture that you are dying to use, and title it to just try and fit the challenge, will usually be noticed too. So going out of the box is very creative, but it is a thin line, I believe, when voting time comes, depending on the actual way you choose to go.

go ahead, go out of the box. in fact, submit a photo of you getting out of a box. you can title it 'the road to low votes'. around here your shot has to scream the challenge. if it doesn't you risk everything because the general public might not 'get it'. no mater what 'it' is you have to be subtle so no one misses it. that's my opinion, i welcome yours.

I like these "open" ended challenges. Take a picture what you feel is Signs or Road. Simple enough, DNMC people will still say what they will. I got my Road entry in top 10 here I come again:)
