I was thinking of buying a camera backpack to take on an upcoming trip to Hawaii. Is there a particular brand that someone can recommend to fit my equipment yet still be a size that can still qualify as carry-on luggage?
I have a 300D w/ battery grip, 4 lenses (One a 80-400 sigma) and some other smaller misc stuff.
Thanks

LowePro Computrekker, never had a problem with that. |

I use the LowePro Mini Trekker backpack. It works very well as carry-on luggage. The slightly bigger pack I think would also be acceptable as the mini trekker is smaller than the max carry-on size. |

Computer Trekker - just find it is a little on the small side these days (I have too much kit), but I've never had any problem getting onto flights with it.

I love my Lowepro Micro Trekker 200. It holds my camera, a 17-40mm F4 L, 70-200mm F4 L, 35mm F1.8, and 50mm F1.8, with a 420EX flash, wired remote, cleaning gear (including a squirty air thing), spare batteries, reflecting disc, and 1.4X teleconverter, with room left over for my iPod, charger, headphones, cables, checkbook, a paperback, and some DVDs in sleeves.
It's amazing how much stuff you can comfortably cram in it, and it's smaller than most backpacks kids use for school. It's very well designed! I use it every day, an after a year it still looks like new.

I use a computrekker AW when traveling with my camera and laptop. I also have a minitrekker for times when I don't have the laptop along. Both are great as carry-on |

My Lowepro Mini Trekker's worked well for me. But the answer for you will depend on how much gear you're taking. If you get Lowepro's printed catalogue or look at their website //www.lowepro.com they indicate which of their bags are able to be taken as carry-on luggage.
Lowepro is your safest choice of brand, they are seriously good bags, very few other brands are worth even looking at.
