We only got a couple inches of snow outside of Kansas City Missouri, but they got over a foot in south Missouri and Kansas. I'm not sure how St Louis is being hit. Not near a hurrican, I grew up in south Florida and went through a couple including Andrew. It was not even very windy but it does look cool in that image.

You beat me to posting that Laurie. Can you believe how dry everything is? Our house we have for sell in Arl. sits on a small 5 acre lake and we can walk across to the neighbors house now. And it's been so warm our trees think it's spring and are starting to bloom.
It's wild how extreme the weather has been all over the worl this last year. |

Yeah, it has been pretty crazy! Here in Australia it's shark attacks that are increasing! Been heaps of them in the last 12 months! |

I'll second that. You folks out in Texas and OK take a look at some of the historical data from the thirties. Long drought followed by fires and then the rain came to wash away the soil. Then the dust-bowl. It can happen again. Lets hope that when your rains do come they come lightly.

I live about 30 minutes from Joplin. That was supposed to be our 'big' winter storm and I didn't get anything but a tidbit of snow and sleet and that was it. Tomorrow the weather will be in the 60's again. C'est la vie! :D
