Im fairly new to the site and I was wondering when is the abosolute deadline for Backlighting II. It says 10 Jan but is that moment you can submit 1159 pm 10 Jan?

Deadlines are usually midnight of the day mentioned. In this case, midnight on the 10th.

But waiting until the last possible minute to submit isn't a good idea as the site could go down (has recently) just before rollover.

| Don't forget when submitting, the deadline is server time. |

| Just wanted to add, for dustinwilson, you can find the current server time at the bottom of any page on DPC. |

225 entries so far for Backlighting...it'll take me another two days on dial-up to vote on them all, but what fun! (Would have entered Recipes, but I'm a crappy cook...ask my family.) :)
Go ahead and enter your photo now, just in case the site goes down. |

OK guys. I'm feeling REALLY good about my entry. Shot it days ago. Knew it was a winner the moment I saw it. I'm predicting a lot of comments, hopefully not controversial.

Man, are you guys going to leave it to me AGAIN to pull Cindi off her high horse? ;)
I'm not sure about my entry. Yes, it's really backlit, but I can see some comments questioning it now. I forsee below average. But I think it's a great photo. |

| I can give Cindi a run for her money. And you too Doc! LOL! I got an entry. Processed and entered only to fill out the EXIF info and realized my clock is set at 01.11.06 (Tokyo time)!!! So I had to reshoot. Sheeesh! |

tried food / pictures sucked realllll bad (may make people sick with out takes later ) /but the kids liked the taste ...
so backlighting it is / though it is not up to 'average' it is still unique ;)

I like my backlighting shot! I have some pretty high hopes for it. Hmmm, you never know.
I am trying to find SOMETHING to do while waiting for rollover.
