I say all entries that have the word "colour" in the title get a DNMC for mispelling it. :-P -just kidding folks... er, mates.

Ive entered my burst of colr, hope it mees what everyone else was thinking with this. Colors are very vivid and I love the shot. Also have free study and best of 2005 entered but.....will probably change them at least 2-3 more times before Im sure.

OK, I'm really happy about my entry, but it's out of the box in the sense that the colors aren't "vivid". They are just vivid compared to the rest of the photo. We'll see if I get hammered. But I'm happy enough with it that I'll endure a 4-score in the name of art.

Who knows...maybe it will do well...NOT.

I entered mine last night....I think it's do pretty good, maybe low 6's is my guess.

Maybe a ribbon?

:P

In those samples everything is colorful...nothing is offset.

My point as well. Well noted.

I put mine in last night.

Took the minimal approach which won't be what the majority are looking for. Should lead to a nice 5.5 score.

I'm submitting mine. I have no idea how it'll do apart that it's another sub-6 shot. I like it and that's all that's important.

Mwwahhhaaaaahhaa ... you're all wrong. The word is "colour" and that's what mine was shot in.

Yeah - well mine is in color, and it'll be fetching a nice colored ribbon hopefully.

You know, it almost hurts to really really like a picture so much, hoping thats it will do good (like you know its worth) and just waiting around for rollover. Anyway thats my color entry, love it, its the background on my laptop now and I look at it constantly. Like I said, I love it and if I have to beat you all back with a stick so be it :) Here's to rollover and updates...

well Ive also entered mine, anything over 4 would be great.!!!!!!

How about the closest to 5.500 wins the mediocrity award/ribbon?

Ditto! And NO one can possibly duplicate mine. It is a one of a kind! LOL.... No air balloons and colorful umbrellas on the beach for this gal!

i cant believe how much arguing was going on in this thread and the burst of color hasn't even begun yet. I submitted mine a few days ago, Im very happy with it. I think its one of my best shots to date. Im just hopping everyone else thinks so too. best of luck to all =D happy early roll over
01/07/2006 12:57:16 PM · #48
Well, I didn't think I'd enter this one, but last night I took a colorful shot and I liked it...so in it went.

:)

Hopefully it'll garner a 5.5 and continue the recent trend of raising my average. However, it is not as unique as most of my entries tend to be.

I REALLY hope "burst of color" doesn't equal "completely over saturated" images
