Enter one Challenge, Vote on the other. Voters would not have the option of shooting down other entries in hopes of pulling there entry up. and they would still be required to vote atleast 20% or better on the other challenge. just an idea DPC would have to make the change. |

I've suggested this before... it didn't seem widely accepted in the community. A variation on this was... If you want to vote on the challenge, your score is hidden from you so it will not sway your voting. |

Or, to see your score you must vote on 50% of the challenge entries first... |

Calculate the median instead of the average. |

What's to keep people from going back and changing their score after voting on 50% of the entries? |

Probably not much response because it has been debated many times before on these forums.

In the grand scheme of things, it won't make much difference. There are safety nets in place that discount potential errant voting (from what I understand) and even if everyone voted lower in hopes of boosting their own score, the only result would be a lower overall score. One vote out of 200 or so will not affect the score much at all. |

I doubt you will ever see a change in the voting or the way scores are calculated. That would create an inconsistency in the history...

... or you could just try to vote on photos fairly, regardless of what votes you receive, in accordance with your perceptions of quality... |

Query: Would/Should one be able to comment on images in the Challenge that they have an entry? In the case of these last 3 weeks the Open Exclusives have been unbalanced 2 or 3 to 1. You would loose comments from a potential 364 submitters if you were in Shapes II. |
