Photo-a-Day Project for those of us with less time

I've been following this thread and gradually wishing more and more that I could do Photo-a-Day project. Unfortunately, with my thesis defense coming up in June, I just don't have the time this year. However, it just occurred to me that Blogger can make blogs for multiple users, so I've created a Photo-a-Day project on Blogger that any DPC member is welcome to contribute to. It can be found here. I'm still working the bugs out of the template, but it is operational.

The goal will be to have at least one photo posted per day, regardless of who posts it (multiple photos per day are fine, but one per person please). To encourage getting out and shooting, that photo should be taken on the day posted, but there's no requirement that any one user take a photo every day or any specific day. Make sense? I'll put all this in the first post of the blog once I finish getting the template ready...

If you'd like to contribute PM me or post your e-mail address here so I can send an invite. Again, anyone on DPC is welcome to help. You've just got to tell me so I can make you a user.

I've been looking for a simple template where I can add one photo each day, without having to edit the whole site, and I don't want it to look like a gallery, I got one of those...

any suggestion ?

and I want to host it myself, not use an online service :)

Blogger does allow you to host one of their blogs on your own site...not sure how it works exactly though. Check out the other Photo-a-Day thread for lots of discussion and examples.

Although I am doing a PAD through this this thread in recent days I will be travelling and won't really be able to post much everyday.

Your idea sounds great, so I am in!
