latest update.. we are expecting a southery change which will bring the fire directly our way. The smoke is so thick. There has been a deployment of 120 fire engines. Todays temperature was 46.(115F). Very low humidity.
Far out.. I have never seen it this bad.

we can if we have to. We have family about 10 mins away. They are far enough away from the fire. I have never seen so many fireengines going in so many different directions. I have the utmost respect for these people.

thinking of you lis.. we drove through that heat today... it was absolute heat wave at it's worse, i've never seen/felt it that hot before, i think at one stop, someone said the outside temp from thier car was 48 degrees, ( mind you, thats travelling on the road too)..
we get home and it's like 50 out here, and the air con is broken, so it's REALLY hot inside, apparently we had fires while we were away too..
sending you luck.... looks like ya'll need it with this wind too....

this is heat like i have never experienced. You guys did have fires while you were gone, I heard it on the news. I was hoping your property was ok.

We would gladly give you the water here in Northern California. The Sacramento area is flooding and really could use some relief. More rain on the way in a day or two :(

struggling with reality... nothing left does not mean the money you get from dad and others can fix things. But i just keep thanking God they are alive and okay..

Good news is that the electrical company who started that fire MAY pay them out for damages. Does not replace my rare collection of gold coins paintings or family inherentances that they were keeping for me. Neither does it bring back the 1000's of photos I had of when they were young. But let it be said, world-things are just that. Life is precious.
