Okay, I'm curious about this action I keep hearing about and think I might like to try it. I'm just having a hard time finding it.... Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

It's on this page. And it's spelled with an A - draganizer - which may be why you're having a hard time finding it.

Be sure to visit the web page of Andrzejd Dagan whose style this action seeks to emulate. |

Another lame question for anyone who'll take pity on me. I've never done this before, so now that I've downloaded and unzipped it...what do I do with it? I assume it goes into an "Actions" folder in Photoshop, but looking through the file folders, I'm not seeing the right place, and the site didn't appear to have directions when I looked really quick.

There's a folder called Presets and in that is the Photoshop Actions folder. Put the action in there. Then you'll need to add it to your actions menu. Click on the little arrow and choose load action and find your new action.

If you've loaded it and everything already, all you need to do is click on the first step of the action that you want to run and then click the play button (the triangle) at the bottom of the actions palette. |

I think that once it's in the actions folder, you have to open Photoshop and click that arrow on the Actions bar, like mk said. But I haven't tried it yet, so maybe I'm missin' something.

WAY TO GO!!! it works, thanks. So it is all basically a built in tutorial, step by step for one to follow, am i right, or do i just click ok to all the presets as they come up? If you get what i mean. Then again if i play around I will answer my own question :) |

I just used the presets this first time around, and it came out okay. I figure that if I play with it and figure out what it's doing, it can only get better! :D

I just used the presets and found they only darkened the photo. Would love to compare results with you OdysseyF22 as we get to know how to use it. |

If you skip through the step that allows you to lighten the face with the paintbrush, it can turn out pretty dark. I'm certainly no expert but here's my quick run-through doing the modification on that step and the background darkening on the other.

Is this legal in Advanced?, I'm just going to start posting in Members challenges (yes!! a member now!), and getting familiar with Advanced.
Thank you

Yep, Joey Lawrence uses it all the time I think.

Used it on a non-human model ;-)
I like this action - really does bring out the 'character' of an image. I also tried it on a landscape and was impressed with that too - sort of Heida style.

Definitely a fun action. I had used it a few months ago to make this photo of my dad:

Despite what others may say, I've had fun with it
