I won an auction on ebay for a new tripod. I wasn't really expecting it until next week, but i get an email from FedEx Ground that is has shipped, Click Here for tracking info. Of course, i treat that like an Update button ;) and as of this morning it was 'On the truck, out for delivery'...well, it's 11:20 PM and still 'On the truck, out for delivery' and i see no boxes at my house anywhere. I know it is not unusual for UPS etc to work late this time of year, 9 pm is not out of the ordinary so i've seen. But midnight? Or will a 'ground package show up on Dec 24, a Saturday?
I'd like to shoot some xmas lights before NEXT christmas LOL.

FedEx delivered three packages to my doorstep at 11:35 pm last night... they didn't knock on the door, and if I wasn't sitting here and checking the tracking and my email at the time, I would have never known they were here...which is SCARY because there was about $500 worth of musical instruments on my porch, ready to be picked up if someone had wanted to grab them and run.
Be prepared...they're quiet and stealthy...delivery ninjas! :)

Fedex really has their act together - I ordered a tuner card from newegg on Monday night (okay, tuesday morning), and it got here Thursday afternoon. This close to christmas too, and with the cheapest shipping option - I was pleasantly surprised. The driver wasn't in their normal truck, she was in a regular pickup - maybe they have to hire extra drivers or something for this time of year

I shipped from Amvona (in RI i think) on the 21st. UPS is like clockwork, 11:30 AM when they come. Been as late as 1pm. The bad thing is they leave the package whereever - front door, back door, basement (side) door and once in my car! The only time they wanted a signature was with my b&h $900 order...gee i wonder why? LOL
11:35 pm...this is still hope! I was afraid they'd bring it while i was at work and want a signature and i'd be screwed till next week.
The dog hasn't barked...although everytime he did today i had to run to the window and take a look ;)

My FedEx is a signature Nazi! If I am not home, or if I don't have a note on my door, he will not leave the package.
I dealt with this the other night. I needed a package for Thursday, and it was to be delivered Wednesday. Well, I checked all day and saw that it was out for delivery. I left for 30 minutes to go get my son at school and still nothing. Ended up calling FE and found out that he was here and there was no answer.... figures he would come during those few minutes I was gone! They told me that I would have to wait until the next day, or come pick it up - over an hour away! I was pissed!
So, I left a note on the door and he left it thursday, but it was too late. I had to make a special trip today just to deliver it! Ugh |

| I had a FedEx package a couple weeks ago that was "on truck for delivery" for roughly 36 hours. It got on in the wee hours of the morning one day and wasn't delivered until late afternoon the next day. I think their ground stuff must be less of a priority because I had another thing shipped with them that week (forget what it was, but better than ground) that was much faster (arrived early afternoon the day it got on the truck). |

I'm dying here laughing.... both FedEx and UPS are afraid of my bigger dog. She is an inside dog, and she hears them coming as soon as they turn the corner down the street. I won't say what I think of our normal FedEx guy, but I will say that our UPS guy has it down to a science! He pulls up in front of driveway (she can't see him out the front door, so she goes to side window), he puts package(s) in front of window at door, rings bell and is gone! By the time she hits the door, barking, he is waving goodbye from the truck. It's terrible because she goes bonkers, but she is a great watchdog!
Wishing you much luck that your package is delivered soon! :-) |
