I've just ordered a new camera for me: Canon 350d with Canon lendses 17-85IS and 50 1.8 II. I'm so nervous!!!! I'll have it next week. I just can't wait.
I hope I can justify the money I'm investing with a rise in the quality of my photos. I have now a Panasonic DMC-FZ10, a wonderful camera, but in which I was arriving to its top, so I felt I needed a better camera. And a great part of the motivation to buy it was for being here in DPC.
I will be the user #1300 of DPC with a 350d.
I'll post my very first photos I take with it.
Please tell me your opinions...

So I'm not going to be the #1300...

Thanks to all of you who answer me. I don't know if it's a record, but 183 people viewed my message and only 4 wrote something (but a very nice 4). Maybe I'm finally winning something in DPC... "The least answered thread in relation to the people who viewed it".

Congrats & nice move...

Moving to my 350D Rebel XT helped me move to a whole new level of photography... of course, those books I read probably also helped out.

Good choices of lenses - so many options, aren't there? Best of luck on your new camera.

Yes, the question of the lenses was a terrible headache for me. I couldn't even imagine before I throught of a dslr that were so many tons of lens. I've seen so many reviews and prices...
I'm so anxious to receive the camera...
Thanks to everybody for the wellcome.

Good for you, I really tried to make the absolute most of my FZ10 before I moved up to a DSLR. I got a lot of good photos out of that thing, and I was sad to sell it on. At least a good friend is taking care of it now.

That's my intention, sell it to a friend. It's a wonderful camera and i've learned a lot using it (even if my photos are not very good).
