The publisher has also asked to provide some 'lineart' illustrations, (such as figures) for shutter, aperture, cut-section of SLR camera etc. I don't have any clue as to how to make them digitally.
Can anyone help? |

Too many people just give away their work IMO. |
That's for the photographer to decide. If they want to donate their image, that is their right. If they don't like the terms, they don't have to release their image. |
...but some do so out of ignorance. Petrakka is right, WAY too many people give away their work. I applaud him for trying to educate fair and ethical business practices.

What petrakka and Brent said is true. Although personally, I couldn't careless if my photos were ever taken. Not because I don't take pride in the photos I take, but they're hobbies that I personally enjoy. Giving credit would be nice, that's all I really ask for if someone were to ever use the things I do.
Okay, one thing I don't like is people taking away my writing. I take pride in that.
So kbhatia, I know there's not much in mine, but feel free. The only thing I'm wondering is how come you don't take your own pictures? |

I do take a lot of pictures. In my profile, you can see some of them. But when it comes to selecting photographs for a book, I need the very best on every topic.
For instance, I do not have any good pictures on, say infants or sports!

I've got some fun, but "my level of quality" shots of snowboarders if you are interested.

Uhm. I don't really mind if you want to have a look through the other shots too as well as my portfolio here. It should only take 5 minutes before you realize that I'm not at all very good :).
You're welcome to have a look though.
As far as giving pictures away, I think it's pretty obvious this isn't a major big operation, so I doubt anyone is really going to be missing out on anything.
If I see someone who needs help, I'm entitled to lend a hand. I'm not taking money from anyone.
My originals are mostly 5mpx, not DSLR. |
