I prefer to not have any hair whatsoever anywhere on my body. Except the hair on my head, of course. ;) However, I still have my arm hair - for some reason I am scared to shave/nair it off for fear that it will grow back 100 times darker than it is now and I don't need anymore problems. I prefer my eyebrows and upper lip waxed, I shave my bikini area fully (I would wax it but the waxist seems to have trouble getting my coarse hair to come out on the first try), and definitely NO hair on my legs or under my arms. That to me is just disgusting.
As for a guy, I think I would be weirded out if there was no underarm hair, I HATE a hairy chest (no offense guys) and if there is a hairy back, there will be a waxing involved for him. :)
I just view this as taking care of the body that people see everyday and taking pride in how it looks. |

I was just extending on Beetles point that most women don't shave for the right reasons but because men call them yetis or asume they stink if they don't.
I'm not one of those women (as you would have noticed if you read my earlier post). And David - my guess is because they don't have the balls to stand up for thier opinions lol. |
I never thought you were irate, I just stated my opinion based on observation.
I also know that when a woman asks a man for his opinion, often, she wants a re-affirmation of her own opinion.
There are a hundred of these catch-22 questions:
"Does this make me look fat?"
"What do you think of my new hairstyle?"
"Do you like this dress?"
"Do you like it when I shave all my pubes?"
and so on. Any answer is the wrong answer.

I think I might as well just get rid of all the hair I've got on my body since I'll be shaving my head on my 20th birthday. I can already imagine the itches that come along, which is rather horrifying.
For those catch-22 questions, I don't have a right of wrong answer for it. I'm just not those type of females (include males if you have to) that constantly grooms myself. I just want the brutally honest kind of answer. If I want the answer to be told my way, I normally just say "don't say it unless your answer is I'm ...."
Heck, I don't put on any make-up unless you call lip-balm for my dried lips make-up. I would never ask anyone if they think I'm fat or not, just because I know myself well enough and not absolutely image conscious. Oh and if I'm forced to by my parents because of ridiculous extravagant parties.
I actually walked around my neighbourhood around 5.30pm with face.
Most things I do are experimentations or self enjoymentment, which normally ends up me being labelled as lunatic in the neighbourhood and school at times.
I read nipple hair somewhere in this thread. Really? There are females out there with nipple hair? And here I was all worried getting these massively HUGE nipples like my mum when I start lactating. I think I've learned a lot through this question.
Oh one more thing, I don't find hairy men entirely attractive. Thin hair or blonde hair is fine on light skin. Although I'm a big fan of with lack of a better term, extra dark brown skinned people. They're hot. Well, at least the ones from England. |

I too have read every comment, and am also bored on a Monday morning with kids off from school and husband here on vacation.
I think with the world becoming smaller and smaller do to travel and the internet, the cultural lines are a little less defined. But in the US, if you do see a womam without a shaved pit, you assume she's "bohemian" or from another country. LOL As for pube shaving, that has just become mainstream within probably the last 30 years. If you mention anything close to that to someone from the depression era, they will look at you aghast and say "I never heard of such a thing." Or maybe they just didn't talk about it. I much prefer hair if it's soft - whether it be beard, mustaches, sideburns, etc. My husband is in a habit as of late, of keeping his boatee and mustache short. As he's graying, it makes the consistency that of a whisk broom - ugh. He shaves it periodically, and to my delight, he does get more kisses!!
Being a brunette..... well... need I say more???? |

I think it's extremely sexy....(i mean if it's growing out of control that's one thing) but if it's a fairly normal bit of underarm hair for a woman I think it's cries "sensual" all over....

I don't mean to interrupt the fun. Last body hair question. I swear. I've watched many "Survivor" shows, well pretty much every season. One thing I've never figured out is how on earth do majority of these females that stay for pretty much until the end of the show stay hairless? As in armpit wise.
All I can think of is they either naturally have no hair or they've done that laser hair removal thing. Any ideas on that? Okay, maybe they've sneaked in razors in the show or something. |
