Well, Drew and Langdon, the camel's nose is under the tent!
Why not just go ahead and establish two completely separate challenges - one for unlimited, uninhibited digital art manipulation, and one for people who enjoy using their cameras to take pictures. There are those of us, PAID members, who have neither the training, nor interest, to partake of "digital art" but are forced to compete in that exercise. |

Allowing post-processing is hardly digital art.
Take a look at //www.digitalphotochallenge.com
They allow post processing, but also have a separate digital art section. The difference is easy to see.

Then let us call it "unlimited" post processing. Will that be satisfactory? |

I agree with Ben - there is quite a large gap between full post-processing (similar to dark room work of yore) and digital art. |

I've posted this before but here is a fairly complete post-processing workflow, that has nothing to do with creating digital art and is all about producing the best final picture that represents the subject being shot. |

I am terribly sorry about the digital art terminology. Forget I said it.
Now, I suggest a separate challenge for the learned and gifted who can perform absolutely unlimited post-processing on their images. This category should also include unlimited BORDERS of every conceivable kind. |

As has been stated several times on this thread already, there are NO editing restrictions. That does seen pretty clear and straightforward.

Ben, I think you mean www.digitalphotocontest.com/. They have a section where contestants can do anything they want, no holds barred. I like to see these kind of shots seperated from the other categories.
I like this Digital Art business, but I much prefer what where doing here at DPC.
