I voted last night. All the views are probably me cruising through to see how the images are scoring. No update button...I'm desperate.

No, you don't, I was just encouraging others to vote, and added the vague incentive that voters "might" get first priority in the next challenge!

i voted yesterday, but not sure if i voted on 100% of them because to begin with, if i viewed one i'd voted on, it would say 'you have already voted this one' but the next time round it seemed to be letting me vote again so i stopped before i duplicated any.

Nothing "straight" about mine; the image seemed impressionistic to me, so I emphasized grain and saturated colors for a sort of pointillist effect, and it bombed.

LOL I went against my grain and did a totally straight edit and tried to make the picture look just like it was taken..
It's hard for me to be that subdued...

So.... whose was whose?? I tried registering to leave comments but it wouldn't let me login and when I tried to retrieve my password, it said that email address doesn't exist and re-registering, it said that user already exists. Grrrr.

Anyway - I did manage to vote. Congrats to the winners! And to the non-winners, a brand new set of Ginsu knives!

This was mine, brown ribbon. And thanx for the Ginsu knives Art. I'll hold you to that. PM me for my shipping address ok? I have NO Xmas presents, nor a tree to put them under :-( I was counting on this blue ribbon to make my XMAS :-(

Pretty interesting to see the directions everyone took, and some great editing there all !

I took a slightly different approach.

Ok, I've posted (hopefully) all the names, and editing steps that were sent to me. If I missed yours, just pm me.

My apologies for any technical difficulties while voting or registering.

Congratulations to the winners--and thanks to all for participating.

I'll open the gallery for uploads if anyone has another variation they want to share. The gallery will stay up at least until Jan 3rd for people to look at the processing steps and variations.

Now SJCarter has the "con". He gets to use one of his photos next and run the contest! (Assuming he wants to; if not, it goes to the second place winner, and so on.)

Well, bear, I like it except for all those annoying red gnats that swarmed the scene. I would download a pesticide filter for PS, if I was you. :)

And I will PM you for a mailing address - I don't know about knifes, but I might send other types of weapons, or at least a card.

Nice work all. This was definitely a fun exercise. And Neil, I liked your edit, and ranked it among the top in my list.

Like Bear, I wanted to go for an Impressionist interpretation. If I had had more time maybe I would have made it with the less compromised file. Learned a lot anyway! (Thanks, Neil!)
