I haven't been able to find if it's acceptable to post things for sale but I'm selling this (brand new) excellent lens if anyone's interested. Let me know.

This is a great lens - why are you selling it? There is nothing in this focal range that is as good!

Killer sharpness, contrast. Fast focusing, the least flare of any of my lenses...perfect walkaround lens...

I bought this and the Tamron 28-75 at the same time and decided I like the speed of the 28-75 more than the range of the 24-135. I agree there isn't anything in this range that's as good as this lens...thanks for posting some pics using it though so people have an idea of what it can do. Replace your kit lens!

Been looking at this one.
Shame I didn't put it on my Christmas wish list and you could have just given it to me being the nice Santa that you are.. LOL

Excellent reviews on this lens too:

I'm trying to get $300 for it as several go for more than this new on ebay. Shipping would only add a little more depending on location. Yeah the reviews on this lens are very good. If only I were rich, I'd be giving this away to some lucky person (Brad), however, I'm a grad student and my wife is angry enough about what I spend on camera stuff. The feel of this lens is amazing though...it's so solid. I really wish it was more what I was looking for cause it's so cool looking. Makes my camera look manly.

TO help those along that are on the fence - you will not be sorry you got this lens.
fredmiranda reviews it at a 9.3! (higher than the 28-75 2.8 everyone raves about)

I got mine about a month or 5 weeks ago. I had to buy locally cuz b&h, adorama, etc were sold out.

Offers Brad some pocket lint out of his own pockets so that Brad's won't be so empty anymore...

OK, sounds good. I'm in the market for X-mas. Been looking at EF 28-135 IS USM. Is this lens better the canon glass. I guess I should just go read some reviews and compair the two. Also looking at the ES-S 17-85 IS USM for my 20D

I've read reviews that put the 24-135 above the Canon lens. Of course I can't find it right now. Fredmiranda's user reviews puts the 28-135 at a 7.5 vs the Tamron at 9.3.

Also, the 17-85 isn't considered a great lens either rated at 7.6
