My mom was given 6 months to live. That was 19 years ago and she walks 2 miles a day now. Doctors don't always know. The body can be an amazing thing.

tinmason, it sounds to me that you are just depressed over your photography. Photography is a passion that never really leaves us, but there are times when it can frustrate us, especially when we are up against some greats here. You have a FABULOUS camera. If I were you, I would sit back, read the manual intensely, and go to a beautiful spot and shoot, shoot, shoot. Once you see something come to life that you really like, your passion will again grow.

And to the rest here...now that I know which photo is tinmason's, it was one I voted very low on and so I commented on it. Many want those comments when one scores low, but look what it can do to the passion of others? It is demeaning and depressing, and I for one do NOT care to give comment further on photos I vote low for this reason alone, if no other. Aside from tinmason, it really isn't that others "want to know where they can improve", it is simply that they want to know how the hell someone could vote them so low! LOL....Do you really think that when someone gets a low score critique they nod their head up and down and say "hmmm, I never thought of that, and they are so right". NO, they get PISSED and PM you and even scoff you and curse you in that PM (not tinmason though, but others I have written comments to). I think this is more the majority then the minority, and I am going with the majority on this one and not commenting on my low scoring photos any longer. From now on, just my top chosen few will get comments.

tinmason, all you need is a bit of passion fix. Take a few days and don't enter for a while and just shoot for yourself and no one else. ENJOY it, and don't let it control you, but you take the control and you will see some love come back for the art.

Sorry if I sound like a mommy here, but I'm a little dismayed at your posts, and sorry for them. Others here don't seem to be reading between the lines of your words. I am trying to, and I think you are just not passion filled anymore. You are not alone. I have read this from many lately. I am sure I will get to that point eventually, but photography can and does bring me so much joy that I really hate to see others burdened by it.

MK, don't suspend this guy. Let him make the decision. Just a suggestion, but I really think this is just a matter of passion loss.

I wrote just about this when you were evidently posting it. His passion is gone. I think you are being quite uncompassionate mk.

All the more reason why you should be enjoying photography and not letting it bother you here. I get so many whippings in this place,...LOL..its not even funny. Well, sometimes it is. *tee hee*. Yet, like a train wreck, I just keep looking and keep participating.

BUT, take that respid you were talking about and go find a peaceful spot to capture some lovely shots that will take you away from the mundane and hurtful world (AND its inhabitants) for a bit. Sometimes we all need a welcome break.

It's ok rose...matty can make those comments...I don't mind...it just helps build the burning passion within him and hopefully produce more great pix...I may not be a good photographer...but I do enjoy looking a the pix of passion as compared to the pix of crap!

This was no better. Just what he needs. Another sentencing.

Be it mavrik or mk, you are both being terrible to this person. Have an ounce of compassion. No wonder I couldn't tell you apart.

mavrik, glad you find this all very funny *NOT*. I think it is quite sad. Your signature matches your demeanor.

I simply reminded him of the rules. Please pick a different crusade.
