I am so tired :OP of waiting for the results of the challenges found here:
photournament.com
I have to wait for the quota to be filled...how about sending your images to speed things up?? :) I would love to c some dpcphotographers in there :)

| Looks like an intersting site with a quick glance. I saw at least 3 DPC members there Konador, Imagineer, and Manny in the short time I was there. I bookmarked to go back later. |

| I'd love to sign up but I don't appear to be "serious" enough for them because I have a yahoo email adress and no website for my photography yet. |

| What do they have against Yahoo e-mail? I've had the same Yahoo e-mail address for 8 years. It's where I get all of my personal e-mails. My ISP address has changed several times, but never my Yahoo. I use my Gmail for geneology and stuff like this site. |

| plus what's wrong with being anonymous. I didn't like that whole thing. I have other career goals and some of my more experimental art may not be what I care to share with certain other people. |

Aside from the stringent membership requirements, it's also interesting to note that the creator of that site was (at least previously) rejecting members of DPC after he was banned from DPC because he wouldn't stop spamming our members with advertisements for his site. I'm not sure what the site has progressed into now but his behavior really didn't seem like something I would be interested in supporting.

I am confused with their ToS (5. and 6.) Those seem to be conflicting.
5. The Member retains the copyright to all the images submitted to PhoTournament.com.
6. The Member grants PhoTournament.com a nonexclusive right, on a worldwide basis, to publish, use, adapt, edit, store, display, copy and/or modify the image submitted to PhoTournament.com in any way, in any and all media (including electronic media and on the Web Site), without limitation and without any obligation to the Member.
The explanation of the 5. and 6. goes on to describe the 6. as pertaining only to the 640px image, but still...

Also, did you plan on stating that you WOULD support or WOULD NOT support his efforts. Just curious...

Thanks for the info MK. I hope you meant wouldn't be interested in supporting. I know what all I just read turned me off to the idea. |
