I have a question, my metadata is off when I open Adobe Bridge or Photoshop. I think it's because when I download the photos, I just drag the RAW image files, and leave the THM files. Has anyone had a problem with that. The time is exactly four hours off, it thinks that the hour that the image is created is when I downloaded it onto my computer rather then when I took the photo, and the date modified is when I actually took the picture. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

yes, I have noticed a discrepancy like this. I have not yet quite figured out how it happens or which program is the culprit, but it certainly has made me watch when I take pics and then submit them.

I upload using RSP (both CRW and THM) and RSP gets the date/time right. When I reference the files with Adobe Bridge/Photoshop the date/time is weird.

So...if I submit a photo, and I have the original CRW file, if I get asked to prove the date and time I took it, it's ok, cus they will have the right time and date, it's just with adobe creative suite that it's messed up?

Yes, this happens to me all the time, and I use Windows Explorer to transfer files. As long as the modification date is before the "Date Taken" I think you should be all set, although I'm no authority on this.

This is a known issue with ACR, and I have no idea why Adobe has not corrected it. It has persisted through at least two revisions. Bottom line, if asked for a proof file, you'd be submitting the out-of-camera RAW file, so for challenges it's a non-issue. It's only an issue for your internal tracking, trying to figure out why that shot that obviously was taken at sunrise has a timestamp nowhere near that time.

Thanks, I was just wondering because of the challenge, as far as for my own sake, I usually write down where and when I take shots, so I have never really looked or depended on the metadata. Tahnks for your help
