Should I of entered this over the color?

No - In this case I prefer the blue colour since it adds a relevant feeling to the subject that the B&W removes.
PS - I know you will get some stick for the larger pic but it's nice to see an image filling up my screen for a change :-) |

Hard to argue with 24th place, top 5%, but I'd have scored the B/W higher. I think it's exquisite.

I prefer the B&W myself Brent. It is exquisite. As fine a shot as I have ever seen of the bells. |

I love the B&W one myself. I entered the color one 'cuz I was chicken and thought the voters would like it better.

i think the b&w has better contrast, but i agree that the color one gives a better sense of cold...
that and the fact that i'm just partial to color, anyway...

How could you go wrong with either one? Both are excellent in their own ways. Congratulations for creating such a wonderful photo!

I like the b/w much better..But then again..I like b/w better than color photos..! They are both great pictures...
