Mine has nothing to do with my entry. But here was my other choice.

Normally I would now post my regular comment 'don't you think it would be more appropriate to wait till after the voting period to post outtakes' but I'm not sure it makes a difference with a free study... ;-)

so we can post?

As long as your outtake has nothing to do with your entry I don't see what difference it makes. Some people post outtakes prior to a challenge going live. It's just a matter of preference I guess.

Rikki what chu got? ;)

Yeah this has nothing to do with my entry. Completely on the opposite spectrum.

Or a matter of common courtesy (which doesn't seem so common anymore... but that's another thread) but I don't think it matters for a free study being what it is, your best of the month...

I'm glad you went with your other choice Rikki!

Whatever that may be! Not a bad milk drop, but it isn't tack sharp if you know what I mean.

All of my outtakes and my entry (which is doing quite dismal) are all first time shots for me. I don't know why I chose the free study to do it but I just wanted to try new things. If my score reflects that, so be it. I learn and improve on techniques. :)

Here's another one. With a home built strobe. Total cost? $15 mostly from Radio Shack.

This is my outtake which I don't normally post or like too see outtakes but this is something of a experiment.I mentioned in another thread I expected this image to be in the bottom 10% perhaps even get the brown ribbon.

Let's just say I decided I would stay a little more true to the DPC voters but less true to my desire to be different and express pop-art in photography.

This image was to be titled "hallucination"

After the beating I been taking on the last few challenges I've entered, I was afraid to take chances on this one, so I pull it at the last minute.

I don't see what the big deal is about knowing who's entry is who's

These out takes have nothing to do with my actual entry...

this a rough edit and now I feel that I should have entered it, instead of what I went with...20/20 hindsight.

another option with a rough edit that I also wish I went with instead of...blah, blah, blah

My third outake is almost exactly like my entry and maybe I should have gone with that one...

...and while I'm totally second guessing myself, any and ALL comments are welcome. I'd really appreciate it since my judgement seems impaired.

;)

I might have gone with this one, but the little girl was visiting us for a birthday party and I never got the chance to ask her parents if they'd mind the entry. I didn't want it posted as a "permanent" photo if they objected. FWIW, the shot was totally candid.

So please tell me, Shannon; you entered something OOF, overexposed and upside down, right?? :)

The voters seem to think so. :-(

I'm pretty sure they know where the left side of the voting scale is.

I'll donate to the "bribe Langdon to disable low #s" fund. :)

LOL- I think he's already swimming in cash from the "disable bad comments" campaign. They've all been very positive- they just don't match up with the score. It's OK though, I expected better but I know this type of photo isn't my strong suit. Kinda' like Librodo entering a bug macro. ;-)

My usual stuff...
...
Kind of stepped out of "my" box on my entry though so that's good.

I just started voting and can't believe how many awesome shots I have seen already. What talented photographers we have here. It's so refreshing seeing see so many different types of shots in one challenge. I was lazy and not much motivation this month so I didn't enter.

Shannon that little girl looks like Shirley Temple. What a doll and what a great shot of her. That would make an awesome Christmas card photo for her family plus would make a great photo hanging on their wall.
