Question for all you photo guru's out there. I am looking to eventually start taking some stock photo's mostly of just everyday type objects at first just to practice. However obviously glare and lighting are a main issue when it comes to this.
So I have decided that I need some type of light tent to make this work. Now rather than fork over the money and buy one, I figure that there must be a way to make one on my own. So just wondering if anybody here has made one and if so if they would mind showing how.
For lighting I am just going to stick with industrial halogens for now which I am going to pick-up at Home Depot.
Any other suggestions of am I going about this all wrong? |

I thought of using one of those collapsable laundry hampers. It has a coil sewn into the fabric and it expands when removed from it's packaging. I bought mine at WalMart. The only problem I can forsee with it is that it's sort of off white material, where white would probably work better. But then with a custom WB it should be fine none the less.

I built me a modified version of that one and it works great - I use it all the time. |

I made one too. I love it. It kept falling apart so I used super glue on all the joints and now its great.

That's too cool, TooCool! I may just build a bigger one to fit both dogs and the soon-to-be-here, Art jr.

Good idea, but a little tip: You are only allowed to have them working under those lights for like an hour at a time - they now have some sort of union rules. The union also frowns on lighting Woody on fire - I had to do community service for that one. |

LOL - the range of potential reactions nowadays makes it impossible to predict. Would be funny if the clerk winked at you and led you to the back room. ...well, maybe not funny to your wife. |
